Church of the Trinity of Life-Giving Original, Moscow

Nikitnikov lane in China-city is so short that it is difficult to call it an alley.
However, it is here that the temple is located, the architecture of which has influenced the construction of churches throughout Moscow. The stone church on the site of the burned wooden was built in the middle of the 17th century. The money for the construction was donated by Yaroslavl merchant Nikitnikov. From this came the name of the temple: Trinity Church in Nikitniki. The temple has another name: the church of the icon of the Virgin of Georgia.
Nikitnikov lane before the revolution was also called Georgian. The icon was revered as miraculous. The church is a sight. In all its glory, there is the so-called Moscow narrowness — decorations of the facade. They are well preserved, because after closing the temple was used as a museum. It’s even been restored.
The iconostasis was painted by the famous Moscow artist Simon Ushakov. It was his museum that was organized after the closure of the temple in this building. Thanks to this, the building was not rebuilt, no extensions were made, it retained its original appearance.
The main temple is crowned by 5 chapters, each chapel also has one chapter. The bell tower can be seen from afar.
