Previously, the village was called Rossitten and the population there was mainly Lutheran religion. In the middle of the 19th century, the villagers began raising funds for a new church.
It was laid in 1872, and the following year it was consecrated according to the Lutheran rite. The architecture of the building is quite unusual. It is built in the form of a basilica, with an attached bell tower. The building is decorated with stained glass windows. The interior was restrained. There was a tin bowl.
For communion, an altarpiece of a crucifix, and a pulpit for a pastor.
After the war, the building was used for economic needs, and in 1992 it was transferred to the ROC. The temple was again consecrated, dedicating it to Sergius of Radonezh. The interior decoration was brought in accordance with the Orthodox canons.
