In the very center of Cherepovets, on the Cathedral Hill, stands a five-headed handsome man — the Resurrection Cathedral. It now belongs to the hierarchical compound, but was built as a cathedral church of the same name monastery.
The Resurrection Monastery has existed since the 14th century. Many times he suffered from fires, so in the 18th century it was decided to build a stone church on the site of a wooden church. The cathedral was consecrated in 1756.

The money for restoration at the parish was not and the restoration of the temple began only by the millennium of the Baptism of Russia.
