Suddenly, the Jerusalem Cross appears on the glass.

It didn’t happen to me, but I want to tell you. One woman had to come to the hospital for a very complicated, unpleasant, painful and therefore frightening procedure. She had already been pumped out of her cystoma once. Her cystoma was a giant, accumulating fluid there prevented her from moving, “loaded” vital organs with useless work, and all to the detriment of health. And the woman was young and beautiful. And so, lying in the hospital room, waiting for the nurse, this woman prayed to St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco. Mentally, she did not speak or cry quietly about her misfortune, but with all her remaining strength cried out: “Vladychenka, do not leave me alone!” Be by my side when the liquid is pumped out. I might be sick, don’t let me die!

The woman wanted to know for sure that the Lord heard her. And then she asked John the Wonderworker to somehow show himself, to give her some way to understand that he heard her and that he was there. Tears stood in her eyes, she gazed at a large window, through which the March sun was already peeking, but nature was still arguing whether to be winter or spring. And suddenly the Jerusalem Cross appears on the glass — a large, perfect in shape, it was impossible to take this «snow drawing» for anything else! In the heart of a woman, this visible miracle echoed thanksgiving and quiet, abundant tears. At that time, they came for her — to take her to the procedural or surgical, I don’t remember. She said that she had undergone the procedure extremely calmly, without fear, there was no suffering, there was prayerful concentration and a feeling that Vladyka was with her. When she was returned to the ward (more than an hour had elapsed and more had passed), the first thing she wanted to do was to see the beautiful Jerusalem Cross in the window and thank Vladyka John for his help. When she looked at the window, the Cross was no longer there, the sun had done its spring work, and thin streams of “tears” of melting snow flowed down the glass – as if Vladyka had shown the woman that he had cried with her when it was difficult for her. That’s a touching story.
