The Council of Bishops decided to open the relics of Princess Anna for worship. A service was compiled, a kondak, a tropar, a canon was composed. On June 12 (old style) the relics of the holy princess were transferred to the Resurrection Cathedral and for the first time glorified.

But the incredible thing happened. During the schism of the church, the Old Believers chose the princess as a symbol of the old faith. In response, Patriarch Joachim abolishes canonization and forbids the worship of relics. This has never happened in the history of the ROC. But the decree is one thing, and the veneration of the people is another. To worship and pray to St. Anna came and parishioners and pilgrims from other places. For 230 years, the church authorities sought to erase the memory of the princess, and she only strengthened. In 1909, the veneration of St. Anna was restored. In the same year, a monastery named after her was opened, and a church was built in St. Petersburg.
The princess knew what losses were, so they came to her with a prayer to save her.
