The holy source of Saint Alexis, Metropolitan of Moscow (Nizhny Novgorod) is among the Orthodox places marked for the location of Nizhny Novgorod. The age of the spring at the ancient Annunciation monastery is calculated for many centuries. On the site of the source before the revolution of 1917 stood a chapel in the name of St. Alexis, Metropolitan of Moscow.
Since the resumption of the Annunciation Monastery in the middle of the XIV century, the consecrated waters of the spring began to be revered not only healing, but also life-giving. Before the trip, it is useful to clarify the state of the access road and the current access mode.
