In the pilgrimage routes associated with the Gzhel area, the Chapel in honor of the Fedorovsk Icon of the Mother of God (Gzhel) is mentioned. This revered spring is good and beautifully landscaped: from a well covered with a low wooden log, spring water through a metal pipe is brought to the surface, for the convenience of water collection, the room is buried. The revered source, consecrated in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Feodorovskaya”, knocks out on the right bank of the Karpovka River, a tributary of the Gzhelka River, in the center of the Moscow Meshchera, near the northeastern outskirts of the village of Gzhel, Ramenskogo urban district of the Moscow region.
Further, the spring stream open current enters the chapel-bath with a font, and from there automatically flows into Karpovka. Pilgrims are advised to check in advance the possibility of travel and access to water on the selected date.
