When you die, don’t worry about your body… Your relatives will do everything you need:
— They will take off your clothes;
— They will wash you;
— They will dress you;
— They will take you out of the house and deliver you to your new address.
Many will come to the funeral to see you to honor.
Some will even change their plans and ask to be released from work to go to the funeral. Your clothes that you wore will be given away, or sold, or donated, or burned. Your keys, your tools, your books, your games, your collections, all your things will belong to other people…
And be sure that the world will not stop without you and will not cry for you. The economy will work. You will be replaced at work. Someone with the same or even better abilities will take your place. Your property will pass to your heirs. Do not doubt that you and your deeds, small or large, that you have done in your life will be discussed, judged and criticized. People who knew you only by sight will say: “Poor fellow!”
Your good friends will cry for a few hours or a few days, but then they will laugh again. Your pets will get used to their new owner. Your photographs will hang on the wall for a while, then they will be placed on furniture, and then they will be stored in some kind of drawer. Someone else will sit on your couch and watch TV, someone else will sit at your table and eat on it.
The deep pain in your home will last a week, two, one month, or two, one year, or two… Then you will join the memories, and then your story will end. It will end among people, it will end here, it will end in this world, but your story begins in a new reality… in your life after death.
Your earthly life, where you could move your body, where you gave meaning to the things that you had here, will now lose meaning or significance.
WILL DISAPPEAR:
the beauty of your body;
first name;
last name;
property;
loans;
job position;
bank account;
car;
house;
academic titles;
trophies;
friends;
men/women;
children;
family…
In your new life, you will only need your SOUL. The only property you will have is SOUL. Therefore, try to live fully and be happy while you are here, because, as Francis of Assisi said:
“You will not take from here what you have. You will only take what you gave!”
