“Christ never made a single comment about the human body. He did not say to Zacchaeus: “How small you are!” He didn’t say to Judas: “How ugly you are!” Didn’t say to the paralytic: “How relaxed you are!” He didn’t say to the leper: “What a bad smell you smell!” Christ constantly communicated with reality in people, that is, with their souls. It was the Soul that spoke to souls, the Soul that healed and lifted souls. Christ considered it indecent to talk about the bodies of people present, almost in the same way as serious people consider it indecent to talk to each other about clothes.
Therefore, when a person speaks to you, do not think about his body, do not look at his body, but look into his soul, check his soul, get used to his soul — and then you will understand him. And when you talk to a person, do not think about your body or his body, but think about your soul and his soul, repeating to yourself: “It is the soul that speaks to the soul, the soul communicates with the soul.” And then you will feel the presence of God between you. And you will be understood and understanding.”
