There are people who have been praying for a trip to the shrine for years. They don’t need a five-star hotel — they need the ability to get there. And this is exactly the opportunity that anyone can now give.
When faith is stronger than the body
An elderly woman who has not left her apartment for three years. A child with special needs who has never seen monastery domes. A mother of many children, for whom pilgrimage is not a vacation, but a spiritual necessity.
For these people, a trip to relics or a source is not a tourist outing. This is an event of a lifetime. And the only thing they lack is the help of caring people.
Where does every ruble go
Full transparency is the principled position of the organizers. No vague “operating
expenses.” Funds are sent strictly for their intended purpose:
transport — comfortable, adapted for people with disabilities;
accompaniment — living people nearby who will help, support, and will not leave you alone;
food and overnight accommodationis basic, but necessary;
medical supporton the road.
This is not a “common pot” gathering. This is a specific story of a specific person — with the name, route and date of the trip.
Real experience: Shakhty Diocese
Such pilgrimages are already being organized. In the Shakhty diocese, children with disabilities
along with their parents regularly go to monasteries — they receive communion,
venerate shrines, and experience for the first time what they had only heard about before.
For the participants, this is not an “excursion.” This is the starting point — before and after.
You are not a donor. You are a co-author
The organizers deliberately refuse the word “charity” in its cold, official sense. There is a different logic here: you see a living person, follow the collection, learn about the result.
The Orthodox tradition of patronage has always been built on precisely this: helping not for the sake of gratitude, but for the sake of the cause itself. The one who was helped will pray. And this, according to
organizers, changes the nature of the assistance itself.
Take a step now
Each collection has a deadline. If the required amount is not collected, the person stays at home. Right now, while the collection is underway, any amount works for the result.
Become part of someone else’s miracle — and it will stay with you forever.
