A new jeep drove up to a small provincial church. A young man in an expensive suit came out of it. After politely greeting people and generously giving to those in need, he entered the church. At the icon of the Kazan Mother of God, he fell to his knees and prayed for a very long time. People came in and out of the church and he didn’t notice anyone. Having finished praying, the young man talked a little with the abbot, handed him an envelope, took a blessing and left. The young candlestick asked the father who this man was.
The priest said that many years ago a beggar appeared at the temple. No one knew where he lived. The boy asked Christ for bread. Of the alms that he was able to receive, he took exactly as much as a loaf of bread cost, brought the rest and poured it into a box for donations to the temple. Closer to autumn, the father offered him a room in a gatehouse and a meal for help in cleaning the territory. When asked who he was and where he came from, I heard a sad story.
I wake up in an unfamiliar place, my whole body hurts. An old woman sat by the bed and prayed quietly. Then she cried out, “Thank God, I am alive!” She told me that she found him on the village road, at first she thought she was dead. With a neighbor-pensioner somehow dragged home, bandaged wounds, called a paramedic. The grandmother prayed hard, and miracles occurred from the icon of the Mother of God “Kazanskaya”. The boy woke up but remembered nothing. When he was strong enough, he said goodbye to his grandmother and left. He begged the church, hoping someone would recognize him.
The priest advised to pray to the Kazan icon, to ask the Intercessor for help. The young man spent almost all day in church, kneeling in front of the icon. A little time passed, the Mother of God restored her memory. The guy asked for money for a ticket to the neighboring city, thanked his father and left. Now he comes once a month, brings a generous donation to the temple. He turned out to be the son of a very rich man, everyone was looking for him, but no one could think that the villains would take away far from the city. His father gave him everything, but he did not forget those who helped him. God saved us from death, helped us to return to the familiar world.
When he finished his story, the father thoughtfully said: “Perhaps if stones were to fall from the sky or if the earth were to open, he would not feel it.” I have never seen such deep and fervent prayer. This is how only the hermits in the hermitages pray. Such a prayer the Lord could not fail to hear.”
There are inexhaustible miracles from the icon of the Mother of God “Kazanskaya”, and there is a lot of evidence for this. The Mother of God protects and helps everyone who asks her for prayer. It is impossible to tell about everything in the format of one short text, but the mere fact that how many churches and chapels are consecrated in honor of the icon of the Kazan Mother of God speaks of human love and veneration of this Miracle-working image.
