One day a father was asked to consecrate an apartment in the same house where he lived. It would be a neighbor to agree on everything. The father was embarrassed only by the fact that the landlady of the apartment was a “woman of free morals.”
“I will not cast out the one who comes to me.”In 6, 37) the father thought, and he agreed. Only advised the hostess to buy icons of the Savior and the Virgin, so that at least something points to a Christian dwelling.
And a month later, her “permanent client”, a businessman from Germany, stopped at this lady. When he, a formal Lutheran, saw Orthodox icons, he declared that he always had great respect for the Orthodoxy Kirche.
Then I suddenly remembered my soul. He began to cry and said that they were living wrong, sinful. We must live according to the law of God. And he proposed to the landlady!
This was the opportunity that God had given her, and it was impossible to reject it. Soon they signed.
Already living in Germany, the former prostitute began to visit an Orthodox church. First, simply put a candle, and then on Confession and Communion.
When the couple arrived in Ukraine, they decided to get married. Since formal Lutheranism had grown tired of the German order, he happily accepted Orthodoxy, for which he was quite ripe.
Now this pious family are zealous parishioners of one of the Orthodox churches in Germany. Two twins are growing up.
But it began with the “formal” consecration of the apartment.
