St. John and Longinus, the Yarenga wonderworkers

The two monks of the Solovetsky monastery are an example of how obedience can achieve holiness.
At the end of the 16th century, two simple pomors entered the Solovetsky monastery.
They were illiterate, so they were assigned obedience that required physical effort. The northern land is harsh, twisting stumps, sawing trees, building buildings — all require incredible efforts. But no one ever heard a word of discontent from the novices. They did everything with humility and prayer.
One day, Longinus and John were transporting heavy logs to the island. In the sea they were caught by a storm, all who were on the ship died. Most of them have not been found. But Longina and John washed ashore more than 100 km from the Solovetsk monastery, in the tiny settlement of Yarenga.
They were found there, buried as they should. Soon, people began to notice that by praying at the graves, they received healing, either a blessing or a solution. Pilgrims reached Yareng. Several monks cut down their cells. By 1622 there was a small monastery with a wooden St. Nicholas Church, a refectory and a bell tower.
In 1625, Patriarch Philaret received news from the monk Ilya about the miracles that are performed at the burial place of John and Longinus. For inspection, the rector of the Korelian Monastery Gerasim and the boyar son Solonov arrived at the monastery. They conducted a detailed investigation and recorded the facts of acquiring the relics, listing the miracles that were performed there. All statements were confirmed.
The inspectors also learned that miracles have been happening for 60 years.
Examples of small healings were not counted, but large ones were indicated:

Healing villager Mary, 3 who was possessed by a demon for 3 years;
● Healing a settler from scum (epilepsy);
The healing of Euthymius-pomorus, who was lulling with stomach pain and to whom John and Longinus appeared in a dream.

In 1635, a small monastery at the end of the world became part of the Solovetsky monastery.
Abbot Solovkov received an order from the Metropolitan to build a temple in the name of Zosima and Savvatius and transfer the relics there. The temple was consecrated in the summer of 1638, and on July 3 the relics of the saints were solemnly transferred to it.
In 1764 the monastery was closed. Where the relics are located is a controversial issue. The “Solovetsky Paterik” claims that they remained in the temple of Zosima and Savvatius, which became
parish.
And in the church calendar of the Solovetsky Monastery for 1998, it is written that the monastery does not have information about the Yareng miracle workers.
