In the small Italian town of Interoclea, in the Church of the Virgin, served a priest named Sevir (North). He was kind, kind, and eager to help people. Sevir lived a simple life, ate porridge, bread and water, he worked in a small vineyard. He made wine from the fruit for communion. With this vineyard and connected history, which showed how the saint was recognized in the eyes of the Lord.
On a warm summer day, Sevir cut off vines when he was told one of the parishioners was dying. He had to be communed and taken away. Sevir, seeing that the work remained little, decided first to finish it, and only then went to the dying.
Unfortunately. He died before communing the Holy Mysteries. Upon learning of this, the priest felt a great sense of guilt, he cried, beat himself in the chest and begged forgiveness for the delay. Weeping, he grieved at the bedside of the deceased when he suddenly opened his eyes and told an unusual story. He knew he was dead and saw demons come for his soul. He was gripped by incredible horror. A few angels came from nowhere, and one of them said, This man is not for you, for he is weeping for the Presbyter Sevir. Because of his tears, the Lord returns this man for communion.
Sevir loudly glorified the Lord, who gave him the opportunity to confess the dying and commune him. Then the sick man went to the Lord without fear, for he now knew that the kingdom of heaven was waiting for him.
