Five Novgorod brothers: Nikita, Cyril, Nikifor, Clement, Isaac were deeply religious from birth. They prayed a lot, avoided worldly temptations, and when they reached age, they became monks. The brothers founded Sokolnitsky monastery in Novgorod. The brothers worked hard, did not shy away from any work. They were constantly in fasting and prayer. They were very friendly. They were buried in the monastery, next to each other. And in 1162 their relics were suddenly discovered. The monks buried the graves 3 times, but they were still on top. Then the Lord ordered to place the relics in a stone crayfish.
After a while, in Moscow, appeared brothers weak boyar. After that, he recovered and wanted to build a chapel over his brothers’ crab. Which was done. In Novgorod, miracles were also performed on the grave.
Unfortunately, during a fire in the 18th century, both the chapel and the monastery burned down. The brothers’ strengths, however, remained. They were solemnly transferred to the Anthony Monastery. There, in the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin, they are still under a bushel.
