Blessed John the Eurodive (Moscow)

Although John is called the Moscow miracle worker, he was born in the Vologda region. There he began working as a water carrier in salt mines. Hard work did not hinder his prayers and fasting. More and more John wanted to spend time praying, so he moved to Rostov and then to Moscow, taking on the feat of folly.
Folly is a special service. Often fools caused ridicule and insults.
They were often beaten. Only complete renunciation of the world, absolute humility, allow the blessed to undergo all trials.
John restrained not only the spirit but also the body. Walked barefoot, dressed in rags. He wore small rings on his body and small rings on his fingers.
But the main purpose of fools was to tell the truth. They did not bow before anyone and even told the kings what they thought.
So John repeatedly warned Boris Godunov that he would end badly. Predicted.
Time of trouble and foreign invasion.
John also had the gift of healing before his death. He has helped many recover from physical and mental illnesses.
The saint anticipated his death in advance. Take off the curtains, wash the body. He went quietly and quietly to the Lord in 1589.
He bequeathed to bury himself next to Basil the Blessed One, which was done.
His relics were found in 1672. The incorruptible remains were moved under the bush to the Christmas limit. Later (1916) it was consecrated in honor of John of Moscow.
