One of the objects of pilgrimage interest in the location «Vvedenskaya Sloboda» is the Source of the Monk Makarii (Vvedenskaya Sloboda). This revered spring of the Monk Makariy Unzhensky is located in a picturesque place where the Vyatka River flows into the Volga, on the right bank, in the forest, in the Makarievskaya Desert, in the village of Children’s Sanatorium, which is 2.5 km north of the village of Vvedenskaya Sloboda in the Verkhneuslonsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan. Chapel with bath, erected in 2001 near the monastery on the banks of the river.
In 1892, a wooden chapel was built above the spring, in which icons are placed. Current conditions of visit and improvement of the territory should be specified immediately before departure.

How to Get There
The reference point is the Vvedenskaya Sloboda. From Kazan on the M-7 highway towards Moscow. Approximately 17 km after leaving the city and the "Zelenodolskaya" interchange (2 km after the interchange to Ulyanovsk) turn right at the sign "Vvedenskaya Sloboda, Makarievsky Monastery". When driving from Moscow, turn left 11.5 km after the bridge over Sviyaga. After 6.5 km of traffic along the main road, move from the asphalt to the right on the dirt road by the sign "Makarevsky Monastery".
