In the pilgrimage routes associated with the area “Sukonnikovo”, the Holy Source (Sukonnikovo) is mentioned. The overlay chapel was destroyed, the source itself was also repeatedly tried to bury, but this was not possible. Sukonnikovo with the valley of the river Koloch, is the Venerable source.
When, after many years of desolation, the monastery found its second birth, then the tradition of performing the annual procession of the Cross on the day of the celebration of the Koloch Icon of the Mother of God (July 22) was resumed with Her miraculously on the Venerable Source, on which a wooden overlay chapel was erected. Pilgrims are advised to check in advance the possibility of travel and access to water on the selected date.
