The name «Holy Source of the Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos «Sednaya» (Silkovo)» refers to the Orthodox object in the area «Silkovo». The revered spring can be found on the right bank of the Torgosha River, 700 m southeast of the village of Shelkovo, Sergiev-Posad district. The spring was consecrated in honor of the icon of the Mother of God by the rector of the Holy Cross Church in the village of Vozdvizhenskoe, located 4.8 km west of the spring.

How to Get There
The reference point is Silk. Travel from Moscow: From the Yaroslavl railway station by train in the direction: "Sergiev Posad", then by bus No. 22 to the Zubtsovo-2 stop, on foot along the village south to the forest and then along the trail through the forest to the suburban areas. Without going to the dachas, we turn west and walk 200 m along the forest. Further way south to Torgoshy, where we cross the river on a small pedestrian bridge and go west along the right bank to the spring. Total from the bus stop to the spring 1.5 km.
