The Foundation’s Mission
To help each of us earn that certificate of life!
Through spiritual and moral personal development and assistance to people in need.
The Foundation’s Principles
🗸 Enlighten;
🗸
Help;
🗸
Cooperate;
🗸
Invest in the soul;
The Holy Land Orthodox Charitable Foundation was established in 2020. While recognising
the undeniable importance of physical health, the founders understood that spiritual health
is equally important. The Holy Land Foundation pursues a broad range of activities, yet its
founders believe that:
The Foundation’s principal activity is the organisation of charitable
pilgrimage journeys promoting spiritual, moral, cultural and patriotic
development.
The organisation seeks to help people visit holy places when they would otherwise
be unable to make such a pilgrimage.
The journeys are organised so as to:
- Inspire pilgrims to study the foundations of Orthodoxy in depth
- Encourage a desire to know the Word of God and share it with others
- Establish strong moral foundations and Christian principles in the younger поколении.
Provide opportunities for spiritual growth and education, deeper
prayer, and the shared veneration of holy relics, icons and the centres of Russian
Orthodoxy — its churches and monasteries.
For this purpose, the Holy Land Orthodox Charitable Foundation raises funds for groups of up to 50 people. Priority is given to:
- Students of parish and Sunday schools,
- People with disabilities
- Large families,
- Children living in orphanages,
- Children from single-parent families,
- Low-income families
- Students of theological seminaries
- Clergy and workers of the Russian Orthodox Church.
The Foundation pays particular attention to children living in orphanages, who often have only a limited
understanding of the spiritual values and moral ideals of Orthodoxy. Pilgrimage
journeys offer an opportunity to discuss sin and repentance and, through the lives
of the great pillars of the Orthodox faith, to establish a foundation for spiritual growth. The Foundation calls this
an investment in the soul.
We invite everyone who cherishes the ideals of Orthodoxy to support the Foundation’s programmes:
